Otherizing

There is this otherizing in religion, faiths and spiritualities that develops from fear, loss or resentment. Justifying one’s choice is not always a statement of what is good about my selection but against what I did not choose.

“I am an Catholic/Agnostic/Atheist/Buddhist/”insert religion, faith, spirituality here” because of what “Hinduism/Baptist, insert religion, faith or spiritualty here” they teach/believe in.

What would the energy be like if your choice felt good all by itself and not compared against anything else? Where does otherizing show in other aspects of your life?

Practice making choices from what is good about the choice and not against what was left behind. Feel the lifting up… feel it!
